SK Layouts

I got to join Scrappin' Kids' crop last weekend and here are the layouts I was able to come up with:

Layout #1 - Be True

This is for Yvette's challenge to scrap a page showing a trait that your child has inherited from you or one that you want your child to inherit from you. Luckily, this LO won. Can't wait to receive my prize from SK!

Layout #2 - Love, Love, Love

This is for Michell's challenge to scrap a page on what is your child's definition of LOVE.

Here is the journaling (hidden behind the photo, written on a tag):

Dannah is really growing up so fast! She already has her own definition of LOVE. She wrote this quote by herself:

" Sabi ng mga bulag, LOVE is blind (translation: blind people say that love is blind)
Mga heartbroken, LOVE is like heaven but it hurts like hell; (translation: for those who are heartbroken, love is like...)
Ang mga magician naman sabi, LOVE is like magic but it can only be an illusion (translation: Magicians say that love is like magic but it can only be an illusion)
Ang daming opinyon. Iba-iba kasi magkakaiba ang experience ng mga tao pag in love (translation: So many opinions, different ones since people also have different experiences when they're in love)
Pero sabi ko naman, LOVE is just a four letter word but has many meanings behind it.(translation: But for me, Love is just....)

Then I asked her what for her are the many meanings of love. Here are her answers:

Love is kind - just like the love she shares with her Kuya Jigs (big brother) whose indifference (sometimes) doesn't stop her from loving him.

Love is patient - just like the love she shares with her Daddy whose homecoming she patiently waits for.

Love is unconditional, no ifs, no buts - just like the love she shares with me.

Thanks for looking.

Four Layouts in a Day

I finished four LO's in one day. I was not able to join Dannah, Nick and Paula in the Visita Iglesia because my tummy is not feeling well. So that means...SCRAPPING TO THE MAX! And so that's what I did.

Here are my finished products:

Layout #1 - My Space (based on Pagemaps April sketch)

Materials used: Patterned papers: Scenic Route, Basic Grey; Bazzill cardstock, Majestical Memories, Bo Bunny and Scenic Route chipboards, MM tiny alphas, Prima flowers, ribbons, ricrac, lace, buttons, brad, blings, epoxy stickers, staple wire, glitter glue, Ranger glossy accents, Kaiser Kraft and MM acrylic paints

Journaling: You need not travel far to be in your favorite place. Mine is in the comforts of my own home, the most colorful part of the house, with all my favorite colors on it. It gives me so much joy, comfort and satisfaction. In it, I find peace of mind and relaxation. It's a stress-buster, a place where I can be just who I am.

Layout #2 - Right Now (also based on a Pagemaps sketch)

Materials used: Basic Grey and Bo Bunny pp's, MM Tiny alphas, American Crafts Velvet thickers, Inque boards, Doodlebug Designs frills, Bazzill Just Edge, Fancy pants rubons, Prima flowers, blings, glitter glue, glossy accents, ribbons, lace, ricracs, buttons, staples

Journaling:
I want to finish as many LO's as I can.
I want something very cold as it is very hot.
I wonder where I'd be if I join Dannah, Nick and Pau in the Visita Iglesia.
I wonder what I'd be doing if Danny is here
I wonder what froggie item will be added to my collection.
I wonder if I get promoted this year.
I'm thinking about my Bicol trip next weekend.

Layout #3 - Havin' Fun

Materials used: Bo Bunny Organic Poppy pp's, stickers, chipboard, American Crafts Thickers, Doodlebug Designs frills, MM tiny alphas, blings, Fancy pants and Prima Trims, glossy accents, glitter glue, Sakura aqualip pen, DMC thread, staples

Journaling: In the absence of Danny, I dated Jigs and Dannah. We had so much fun! Kenny Rogers Roasters and Pixie Forest, Festival Mall, Alabang

Layout #4 - Lovin' It

Materials used: Fancy pants splendid pp's, American Crafts Thickers, Chipboards, button, bling, Fancy Pants pin, glossy accents

A day before your 12th birthday, we went out to have coffee. A very hot day that was, you ofted for a frappe. Glad you loved it.
