Second, I'm done with my SM Idol 3 Week #1 entry. However, I still have to wail till Friday to share what I came up with in this blog.

Lastly, I finished another LO for a couple of challenges:

Layouts Share

I finished the following LO's for different challenges.

Here they are:

Layout #1 - Parenting is not an easy task

This LO is for the following challenges: Simply Scrapping June Challenge #1 (sketch challenge), Scrap Inspire Create's June Challenge - Celebrate Parenthood and Pile it on Challenge #3 to use purple.

Some details:

Materials used: K and Co wild Saffron and Cosmo Cricket pp's, KI Memories lace cardstock, American Crafts Thickers, MLS alpha stickers, MM run-ons, Buzz and Bloom chipboard, Magistical Memories chipboards (potty people), blings, buttons, MM acrylic paint, distress ink.

Journaling: Being a parent is never easy. It's a 24/7 job with lots of overtimes and no provision for absences. What makes it even harder is when you're raising teens. Life has never been the same since Jigs turned 13 last year, and next year, it'll be Dannah's turn. It entails a lot of patience, a lot of love! I love the both of you, remember that. Be it in your teens or adult life, I'll always love you!

Here's the sketch by Simply Scrapping where I based my LO:

Layout #2 - Where is the Birthday Boy?

This is for Simply Scrappin June Challenge #3 (a recipe challenge) and Pile it on Challenge #3.

Materials used: Teresa Collins and K and Co Wild Saffron pp's, Creative Imaginations Narratives cardstock stickers, DCWV cardstock, Jenni Bowlin alpha stickers,Creative Imaginations alpha stickers, MM tiny alphas, American Crafts Thickers, Maya Road chipboard swirl, Queen and Co felt ribbon, Prima flower, AAS felt flower, ribbon, ricrac, DCWV and Doodlebug Designs brads, paint, diamond glaze.

Journaling: Jigs celebrated his 14th birthday last May 24 together with Ziggy and Cheche. As usual, he didn't agree for hos photo to be taken. The only souvenir of his birthday is this cake's photo. I hope to take your photo on your next birthday, Jigs!

Layout #3 - Brand New You

This is for Scrappin Kids Monthly Sketch Challenge and Pile it Challenge #3.

Layout #4 - Masquerade Party

And last but not the least, my entry for Scrappin Moms' Idol Season 3 Elimination Round:

Some details:

This is my first time to join the Scrappin Moms Idol. For the past two years, I was always on official travel for the UPCAT as a Regional Examiner (Cuyo, Palawan in 2007 and Digos City in 2008) during the elimination round. I wonder what kind of journey will joining the SM Idol be for me....Goodluck to all participants, goodluck to us!!!

I'm so happy to share my second win this week. It's in SK's Crew Challenges last weekend. This LO won in SK Resident Designer Issa's Stars, Stipes and Buttons Challenge:

See the announcement here.

Here's another LO for SK DT Wendy's Sketch Challenge:

Journaling (handwritten in a journaling notebook page with the photo of Dannah's one and only hero - her Daddy)

Who's Dannah's hero? Is it Hulk or wolverine or Ben 10? Of course not! There's only one hero for her - it's her Daddy! Her Daddy who sacrifices for her to give her a brighter future, who spends for her needs especially when she was hospitalized for dengue; he who took care of her in the crucial times as a premature baby, he who loves her with all his heart.

This LO was also entered to APIY's Hero/She-ro Contest.

BTW, Yvette gave me these K and Co. Wild Saffron papers as a bonus RAK for winning in her challenge at SK last April:

Thanks Yvette! Love those papers...

Addictions

I have had many "addictions" in the past and even today I still have some. No doubt, my daughter Dannah has some, too. She got it from me! At 12, her current addiction has something to do with make-up. She even saves money from her own allowance just so she can buy her favorite lipstick or eyeshadow. I made a LO tackling about this "addiction" of hers.

Here it is:

Of course there are flowers in my LO, my all time favorite embellishment (Prima flowers made of silk, I think and felt flowers from $1 Store in the US), and I included a little of the color purple (found in the flower center and the blings surrounding the petals). I used these embellies to heed the requirements in these two challenges: Cafe Mojo Challenges to use FLOWERS and Pile it on to add purple in your LO.

BTW, I also entered this to Scrappin Kids DT Challenge, specifically Vivi's challenge to scrap about an addiction.

Thanks for looking!

Pile it On Win

Good news! I made it to the Top Three Scoops at Pile it on for their Challenge #2. My LO entitled Congrats was chosen from among the numerous entries. I'm so so so happy! Still can't believe it. See the announcement here.

I now have the honor to place this blinkie here in my blog:

Photobucket

I also won a $10 Gift Certificate from Savvy n Sassy store. I have already won a couple of ribbon kits from their store in the past and they're just great!

Do check the third challenge at Pile it on! I'm done with my first card:

I am combining this week's Pile it on challenge with Challenge# 15 at Use it challenge blog to use patterned paper scrap that is more than a year old, chipboard, paint and rub-on.

I'm not really into cardmaking but I guess it's worth giving it a try.

The Joy in Receiving

I always believe that there is joy in giving. But lately, I also discovered the joy in receiving, be it pasalubong, SWAPs, RAKS or prizes.

It seems that the phrase "the merry month of May", May being a month of fiestas and festivals was true for me this year. I received so much blessings during this month in the form of scrapbook goodies from friends and scrapbook contests/challenges organizers/scrapbook store owners.

Let me share with you the yummy scrapbook goodies I received.

PASALUBONGS from Scrappin' Mom and OZ girl, Joanne Yap, Cheche's sister from the US and Liezl's friend from Canada (talking about the advantage of having friends with the same interest, kasama ka sa hatian ng goodies):

Thank you so much, ladies!

SWAP from June aka bbhome for the Scrappin Kids' Envelope SWAP:

Thanks so much, June!

RAKS and PRIZES from joining challenges/contests:

plus a BONUS RAK from SK's DT, Yvette (it was in her challenge that my LO Be True won):

Thanks Yvette for this wonderful owl and epoxy stickers. Yvette made this owl embellie herself out of felt. Yvette is accepting orders if you're interested.
